At Hillel Day School we believe all children can learn at high levels. We offer both a dynamic and challenging Judaic and general academic program where students are engaged with in-depth, interrelated experiences that nourish their enthusiasm for learning and spiritual growth. Our students develop the ability to think critically and creatively and become articulate communicators who collaborate together. They explore concepts, take risks, and become strong community members.
Each member of the Hillel team values children as individuals who develop at their own pace and learn in their own way. With this in mind, our staff creates and teaches curriculum that allow each child, from the youngest to the oldest, to grow with a sense of achievement and self-confidence. We offer children multiple avenues through which they learn and express their understanding, creativity, and imagination.
Community is fundamental at Hillel Day School. Together, as a professional learning community, we approach education as a shared endeavor among parents, students, and teachers to best meet the needs of each child.
Through a dual curriculum which includes Hebrew immersion, Hillel students grow and develop in the traditions of their Jewish heritage. Every year the eighth grade travels to Israel as a culminating experience of their educational and spiritual journey at Hillel Day School. Throughout their education at Hillel, students learn to be creative, to collaborate, communicate, think critically, and become influential community members with good character and core values.
