  • Hillel Day School
Mind and Soul. Better together.

Annual Campaigns

Since its founding in 1958, Hillel has been guided by the principle to ensure that as many Jewish children in metropolitan Detroit who wish for a Jewish education will receive one, regardless of ability to pay. In fact, removing the barrier to entry has become a focal point of Hillel's mission, and we have many longstanding and new initiatives to assist families with tuition.

Throughout the year, our Annual Fund campaign and other fundraisers raise much needed dollars to sustain and strengthen our tuition assistance program.

  • Tributes

Tributes or donations to Hillel Day School's General Fund or any one of its many endowment funds are a wonderful way to recognize a simha, mark a milestone, or remember a loved one. Tribute cards can be sent from the Advancement Office with a minimum donation of $10 (for a cash or check transaction) or $18 (for a charge card transaction). Please stop by the Advancement Office or go online by selecting the "Give Online" option under Support Hillel. A card will be sent to your designee informing them of your contribution to Hillel Day School in honor or memory of a loved one. A special, limited edition, hand-calligraphy certificate will be sent for donations of $100 or more.

For more information on tributes, please contact Sharon Gatewood by phone at 248-539-1483 or via email at sgatewood@hillelday.org.

Tree of Life "Leaves" and "Rocks" can also be purchased in honor or memory of a loved one or an event. "Leaves" may be purchased for $250 and "Rocks" for $500. Both are lasting ways to recognize milestones.

For more information on the Tree of Life, please contact Marni Cherrin at mcherrin@hillelday.org.
