60th Anniversary Gala

Our 60th Anniversary Gala this past Sunday was a success! More than 600 members of our community, representing six decades, filled the school with a great feeling of warmth as we celebrated Dream Maker Award honoree Brian Hermelin, and our Rabbi Jacob E. Segal z"l Award honorees, our six most veteran teachers: Clara Gaba, Adina Levin, Malka Littman, Ayala Perlstein, Rivka Schuchman, and Pam Smith. View our tributes to the honorees here, and view pictures from the event here (use password Sixty), and on our Facebook page.
The evening also recognized Distinguished Alumni Award recipients Mark Schostak (class of 1987), and Rachel Lutz (class of 1994), and ended with a performance by Israeli singer/songwriter Michael HarPaz (class of 1987).
Leah Phillips, our eighth grade speaker, who has enjoyed working in our greenhouse, expressed gratitude to the school for nurturing students from "seedlings," watching them grow, and sending them off to thrive and reach for the sun.
