Each year, Hillel holds various fundraisers and community building events to enhance our educational programs, support development of faculty and provide critical tuition assistance dollars to families who might otherwise not be able to afford a Hillel education.
Local sponsors benefit from on and off campus exposure. Whether you sponsor our Shabbat Dinner, Havdalahpalooza, Israel Independence Day Carnival, or the Annual Dream Maker Gala, you will receive visibility, recognition, appreciation, and access to thousands of Hillel supporters in our community.
As an event sponsor, you will have a unique opportunity to broaden your company’s image and customer base while at the same time supporting an exemplary Jewish Day School and its mission. As a sponsor, your company will receive numerous benefits. Most importantly, your company will receive significant exposure to thousands of families, trustees, alumni, and friends throughout the region.
We invite you to partner with Hillel Day School as a sponsor for the 2018-2019 school year. Please call the Advancement Office at 248-851-6950 to reserve your sponsorship today.
Shabbat Family Dinner - September 7, 2018
At Hillel, we believe that ritual offers the opportunity to sanctify our lives and to elevate the every day. At our Family Shabbat Dinner, the entire Hillel community, from our youngest two year-old learners to our eighth graders, over 560 students in all, and their families, will gather to celebrate the joy of Shabbat. This festive evening, taking place in the miznon (café) and other areas on the Hillel Day School Campus, will include family activities, songs, dinner, and a Shabbat-themed give-away to families in attendance.
Movies and Munchies - December 2, 2018
Hillel is able to provide an excellent educational experience to all of its students because of the philanthropic support of the community. Our Annual Fund raises essential dollars for the $2.8 million necessary to provide tuition assistance to Hillel families who may not otherwise be able to provide a Hillel education for their children. Hillel is deeply grateful to all who give generously at every level. Our donors make an incredible difference. This year’s Movies and Munchies at The Riviera Cinema in Farmington Hills will be open to all who have contributed to the 2018-2019 Annual Fund. These supporters, and their children, will enjoy a family-friendly movie, socializing, and delicious treats.
Havdalapalooza - January 12, 2019
Hillel’s mission—to inspire a passion for learning, responsibility to self and community, and devotion to Jewish living—reaches beyond the classroom, and has a profound impact on the entire family. The entire Hillel community and other families from the Metropolitan Detroit Jewish Community will experience havdalah and celebrate the new week with various musical acts and entertainment for all ages. Organizations throughout Metro Detroit will partner together for this event!
Israel Independence Day Carnival and Kosher Rib Burn-Off - May 9, 2019
The modern state of Israel is where Jewish values come to life and a home for Jews from around the world. We see spiritual meaning in the existence of the state, and are proud of its continued growth. Each year, Hillel celebrates Israel with the Israel Independence Day Carnival and Kosher Rib Burn-Off. This festive FUN-raising event is held at the school, and includes carnival games, a community Kosher Rib Burn-Off, bounce houses, prizes, food, dancing, and attracts more than 500 students and other children from the metropolitan Detroit Jewish community. Parents, students, alumni, grandparents, and faculty work hard to ensure the success of this event, which has become a favorite tradition at Hillel Day School.
Annual Gala - June 2, 2019
The Annual Gala, Hillel’s most important fundraiser, attracts more than 500 guests and generates essential funds for tuition assistance. The celebratory event takes place in a transformed Hillel campus and includes an extensive silent auction, a strolling dinner, and dessert. At this annual event we honor our Dream Maker and Rabbi Jacob E. Segal (z”l) Award honorees, and our Distinguished Alumni Award recipients. The event also raises vital funds through the Shulman Scholarship Journal that is distributed to all guests, and which is available at Hillel after the event.
