ECC - Grade 8

Social development and connections are established when our older students read, volunteer, and plan programs with the younger students.
As studies show, an ECC-Grade 8 learning model creates stability for students, especially as they grow and go through the changes associated with young adolescence. At Hillel, our academic setting fosters a strong sense of safety and community; students look out for one another, teachers know students since preschool and become family, and cross-grade collaboration opportunities abound enabling inherent role-modeling, such as having older students read to younger children, and share holiday activities with them.

You’ll feel the joy and vitality from the moment you step into the Early Childhood Center, where experienced teachers provide a creative blend of Jewish and academic programming in an active, play-based curriculum. As part of an ECC-8 school, not only do our youngest children have access to extensive resources and specialty teachers, but they are embraced by a kind, caring community of enthusiastic youth and supportive adults.

As your child grows, he or she will find inspiring mentors among Hillel’s students, teachers, families, and friends. In turn, your child will become a leader of character, aware of the responsibility of being a role model to all.
